Zentra Announcement Bar ("we," "our," or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our Shopify app.
We collect and store minimal data required to operate the App:
Shop domain — to identify your store and manage your subscription
Subscription plan status — to determine whether your store is on the free or Pro plan
Impression counts — aggregated counts of how many times your announcement bar has been displayed, stored by shop and bar ID only. No customer personal data is collected.
We do not collect, store, or process any personal data from your customers.
Announcement bar identifiers — unique IDs assigned to each announcement bar you create, used solely to track impression counts per bar. These are system-generated identifiers and contain no personal information.
Promotion claims — if you claim a promotional offer, we record your shop domain and claim timestamp to manage eligibility. This data is deleted when your shop data is erased.
App data is stored in a secure PostgreSQL database hosted on Fly.io (London, UK). This includes your shop domain, plan status, and aggregated impression counts only.
The App uses browser sessionStorage solely to remember if a visitor has dismissed the announcement bar during their current browsing session. This data is stored locally in the visitor's browser, is never transmitted to any server, and is automatically cleared when the browser tab is closed.
Paid subscriptions are processed entirely by Shopify. We do not collect or store any payment information. Subscription status is recorded in our database to manage plan access.
As part of the Shopify app installation process, Shopify provides us with basic merchant account information for authentication purposes. We store only your shop domain and access token, which are required to operate the App.
We store no customer personal data
Merchants may request deletion of their shop data by uninstalling the App — all associated data is automatically deleted within 48 hours
We respond to customer data requests and redact requests as required by Shopify's GDPR webhooks
